Crossford war memorial restored
Ever since water stopped flowing 15 years ago, there has been a local campaign to restore it to its former glory.
A substantial project to refurbish the decaying stonework and restore the water flow, which was undertaken by the War Memorial Restoration Group in 2008, has now been completed.

Hide AdRestoration Group member Edith Ryan said: "My neighbour didn't think the memorial would be finished in his lifetime but we have managed to get it done."
The War Memorial was erected after the First World War and the new granite panels carry the names of all who have fallen in active service in the 20th Century.
It is now the group's intention to return the Memorial to the care of South Lanarkshire Council, to be included in its annual maintenance programme.
