“The car speeded over a grass verge on to a parkland area before smashing through my hedge.
“That park is usually full of children. I dread to think what would have happened if the accident had happened a couple of hours earlier.
“Something needs to be done before someone is seriously injured or killed.

Hide AdWard councillor Alan Moir told the Herald he was having discussions with police about residents’ concerns.
He said: “I have been in communication with the depute area commander to get a full appraisal. This incident was absolutely reckless behaviour. It was a complete disregard of others’ safety and property and could have resulted in serious injury.
“I have also asked Grace Irvine from East Dunbartonshire Council’s Director of Neighbourhood Services to get back to me to see where we can take this.
“The area has a long stretch of road and we need to get a proper appraisal to see what we require to do.”
A police spokesman said inquiries were continuing.
