George said: “Our play was very well received by the audience and we certainly weren’t too disappointed at finishing second.
“The audience in Orkney were absolutely fantastic and we all enjoyed our time up there. It was such a great weekend.

Hide AdTrip of a Lifetime was directed by Margaret Smith and performed by George, Elayne Deary and Gerry Burns.
The play is a poignantly funny look at family life and the frustrations it brings, all brought to a head as recently-divorced Barry and his parents, Sheila and Norman, travel round the world on a family holiday.
Locals will be able to enjoy the play this weekend as the Players perform this Friday and Saturday in Kirkton Church Hall.
As well as Trip of a Lifetime, the group will also perform A Night Under Canvas by Lisa Hunt.
