Police horse Kilsyth enjoys retirement after career in law enforcement
Kilsyth, nicknamed “Krazy” by officers, is 16.3 hands tall, 20 years old and has served on patrol and in events all around Scotland. One of his high profile duties was helping to keep order in Glasgow following the 2014 Scottish referendum.
Along with fellow equine officer Mull, Kilsyth is now living in Buckinghamshire with the Horse Trust, who will look after him alongside other horses that have served in the police or military, as well as some rescued animals.

Hide AdHorse Trust chief executive Jeanette Allen said: “We look after equine civil servants who have reached the end of their working lives. It’s a bit like the Chelsea Pensioners.
“Kilsyth was often the lead horse on operations which means he was the bravest of all the police horses.”
