Car event sees council and police accused of "passing the buck'' in Birkenshaw
Appalled residents of Birkenshaw have pleaded with council officials and Police Scotland to stop the return of an unlicensed car meet event that they fear will again wreak havoc on their quiet residential community.
The event aimed at so-called "cruisers” will bring 500 cars to the trading estate on Saturday July 9, in what is being billed as ‘The Big Birkenshaw Takeover’ by its organisers Lanarkshire Outlawz.
